Axel Johnson International strengthens power transmission solutions offering in the Czech Republic
Arkov, part of Axel Johnson International’s business group Power Transmission Solutions, strengthens its position in the Czech Republic market by the acquisition of TPB spol. s r.o., effective 27 February 2020. TPB is a local distributor of bearings and other power transmission products and is specialised in the bearing aftermarket.
“The acquisition of TPB is in line with our business group strategy of growing geographical presence in our existing markets. TPB is an ideal add-on to Arkov as there are considerable synergies between both companies” says Ola Sjölin, Managing Director, Power Transmission Solutions.
Founded in 1993, TPB is a Czech local authorized SKF distributor of bearings, seals, couplings and linear products, specialized in the bearing aftermarket for customers in a broad range of industries. The company has its headquarters in Mladá Boleslav and a second branch in Česká Lípa, both located in the northern region of Czech Republic. As a provider of several premium product brands, the company has been a distributor for Škoda-Auto for the last 25 years.
“By joining forces with TPB, we will strengthen our offering and market position as well as expand our geographical coverage in the Czech Republic.
