AxFlow France strengthens its service capacity in food and beverage with the acquisition of Armor Bobinage, a 19-person company, based in Saint Brieuc and Dinan, northwest France.

Armor Bobinage is a family owned service and trading company. Starting of as a pure motor repair workshop in 1969, Armor Bobinage has evolved into a specialist in installation, repair and commissioning of pumps and electric motors, predominantly for brands such as Xylem and Leroy-Somer. Majority of their customers are in the food sector – especially in the dairy production.

“The acquisition is in line with AxFlow’s strategy to grow in service and to become one-stop-shop fluid handling experts for the processing industry. More specifically, it complements AxFlow France’s offering to the food and beverage customers with strong product portfolio”, says Ole Weiner, CEO of AxFlow Holding.

Announcing the acquisition, AxFlow France managing director Guillaume Chanay commented, “In order to be successful in customer service you need to have skilled, experienced service personnel and close proximity to customers’ sites. Armor Bobinage has both. With Armor’s location in the centre of the French dairy district and their decades of experience in pump service and electric motor repair combined with our APV and Waukesha product range and our food systems know how, we will bring AxFlow customer service to the whole new level.”

Mr. Bruno Honore, owner and chairman of Armor Bobinage is equally as enthusiastic about the acquisition commenting: “The synergy of complimentary products resulting from the acquisition and the resources available from AxFlow provide a strong platform for our future growth.”
