Erling Haug appointed Strategic Sourcing Director Lifting Solutions
Erling Haug has been appointed to the newly created role of Strategic Sourcing Director in Axel Johnson International’s business group Lifting Solutions and part of the business group’s management team. He is responsible for Lifting Solutions’ sourcing strategy and high level relations with its main suppliers.
He will also oversee continued cooperation between the purchasing organizations of the group’s local companies.
Appointing a director with sole focus on sourcing signals the Lifting Solutions business group’s increased focus on shared activities in this area. “I’m looking forward to this challenge,” Haug says. “Lifting Solutions’ emphasis on this area creates very exciting opportunities.”
Haug brings extensive knowledge and experience within the lifting and steel wire rope market from his many years as managing director and owner of company Erling Haug A/S, which he continued to run after selling it to Axel Johnson International in 2006. He also worked on several strategic projects for Axel Johnson International, including serving as a regional director for North Sea until 2013. Since then, he has worked as senior M&A advisor in Weibull A/S and on other assignments.
