New managing director appointed for Sverull
Axel Johnson International’s Industrial Solutions business group has appointed Martin Elm as Managing Director of Sverull AB. Martin starts on December 3 and will succeed Göran Hegestig, who is retiring.
Martin’s most recent position is as Business area manager of Systems Production at the AQ Group. The Business Area today employ about 200 people and have a turnover of approximately SEK 500 million. Before that, Martin served as MD at AQ Holmberg’s production unit in Suzhou, located near Shanghai, before moving back to Sweden in 2013.
“I am very glad that Martin is joining the team at Sverull,” says Ola Sjölin Managing Director of Industrial Solutions. “He will be a great addition with his personality and international experience from industrial production.”
Göran has been with Sverull for 42 years and during that time served in various positions, most recently as Managing Director. During the last two years Göran has led Sverull through a comprehensive change process and established a new platform for the company grow upon, going forward.
“Göran has done an exceptional job, in leading Sverull through this change process,” says Ola Sjölin Managing Director of Industrial Solutions. “I am very grateful for all the years of valuable service and wish him all the best in his new challenges as a retiree”
Göran’s retirement will allow for a smooth handover to Martin. The transition is expected to proceed for about two months, during which Göran will gradually hand over responsibility and remain available for support.
