New Managing Director for Ro-Ro International
Ro-Ro International, part of Axel Johnson International’s Transport Solutions business group, has appointed Pär Johansson as new Managing Director, effective January 2, 2019. Pär will succeed Thor Maugesten, who served as Managing Director of Ro-Ro International for 31 years.
Pär Johansson is 31 years old and has a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Chalmers University. Five years ago, he joined the Axel Johnson International group as a trainee and has had various positions within sales, business controlling and business development in Trailereffekter, Forankra and Axel Johnson International since then.
“Pär comes from the Forankra environment, where he was Sales Manager of Forankra AB for three years, so he already has a good understanding of the load-securing business,” says Erik Eklöv, Managing Director, Transport Solutions. “I am confident that Pär and Ro-Ro will be a good combination and that Pär will contribute to the company with his people skills and modern mindset.”
Ro-Ro International has some of the world's leading car manufacturers on the client list thanks to Thor, his leadership and team. “Thor has built a great team who deliver what they promise, enjoy their work, and work hard in an industry that never takes a weekend,” says Eklöv. “Over the years, he has created very loyal customers, which is crucial in a tightly knit, conservative industry like this one.”
