Norwegian Driveline Solutions company Progress strengthens offering in hydraulics
Progress Ingeniørfirma AS, part of Axel Johnson International’s business group Driveline Solutions, expands its offering in hydraulics through the acquisition of Walterscheid Powertrain Group’s Norwegian hydraulics operations.
“The acquisition of Walterscheid Powertrain Group’s Norwegian hydraulics operations is well-aligned with our group strategy to grow the hydraulic offering. The addition of the service center in Vestby will support growth and increase our presence in mobile and industrial segments in Norway,” says Jan Brattberg, Managing Director, Driveline Solutions.

Walterscheid Powertrain Group’s service center in Vestby has been supplying hydraulic systems, parts and accessories since 1964. Main offering comprises of power take off units, hydraulic components, hydraulic systems and niche agriculture equipment. Dedicated employees design, build and deliver customised solutions for mainly the industry, marine and agricultural markets.
The acquisition comprise the assets and personnel connected to the hydraulics offering at Walterscheid Powertrain Group’s service center in Vestby, south of Oslo.
