Axentia Technologies AB (“Axentia”) has signed a framework agreement with Region Kalmar for the delivery of systems and equipment to Kalmar Länstrafik’s bus fleet. The agreement covers a total of 550 vehicles with a contract value of SEK 25 million over an eight-year period. The fleet consists mainly of regular service buses but also includes vehicles for on-demand transport such as paratransit and accessible transport services.

The framework agreement confirms the strong market demand for Axentia’s real-time platform, Transit Intelligence, the company’s real-time information service for public transport, originally acquired earlier this year under the name Gaia Public Transport (GPT) and now fully integrated into Axentia’s product offering.

“We are very pleased with the trust shown by Region Kalmar. With Transit Intelligence, we connect in-vehicle real-time information with a robust, cloud-based platform that has proven itself in operation. This marks an important breakthrough for our vehicle segment and strengthens our position in the market,” says Dick Ollas, CEO of Axentia Technologies AB.
