Axfood Närlivs AB and Statoil Fuel & Retail enter cooperation agreement
A cooperation agreement has been reached between Axfood Närlivs AB and Statoil Fuel & Retail's Swedish subsidiary, Svenska Statoil AB. The agreement is for two years and covers the supply of newsstand and food retail products for Statoil's staffed service stations. The cooperation will commence on 1 January 2012.

The cooperation with Statoil Fuel & Retail in Sweden entails that Axfood Närlivs will be hiring approximately 15 new employees at its offices and warehouse in Örebro.

Axfood AB conducts food retail and wholesale business in Sweden. Retail business is conducted through the wholly owned store chains Willys, Hemköp and PrisXtra, comprising 230 stores in all. In addition, Axfood collaborates with a number of proprietor-run stores that are tied to Axfood through agreements. These include stores within the Hemköp and Willys chains as well as stores run under the Handlar’n and Tempo profiles. In all, Axfood collaborates with approximately 840 proprietor-run stores.
