Axfood presents logistics solution of the future at Capital Markets Day

Axfood is holding a Capital Markets Day today. The theme for the day is the company’s future logistics and the new, highly automated logistics centre outside Stockholm.

The Capital Markets Day will be moderated by Klas Balkow, President and CEO of Axfood, with input also from CFO Anders Lexmon. The agenda includes presentations from Axfood’s purchasing and logistics company Dagab, which will be given by Nicholas Pettersson, President of Dagab, Per Gifvas, Programme Head for the new logistics centre, Raymond Lundmark, Head of Logistics, and Helena Blom, Transport Manager. In addition, the Capital Markets Day will feature a guest visit by Helmut Prieschenk, CEO of Witron, which is the chosen automation provider for the new logistics centre.

At the Capital Markets Day Axfood will confirm its investment of EUR 240 m in automation for the new logistics centre in accordance with the payment plan, financing and currency hedging that have been previously communicated. In addition, Axfood will report on the preparations, timetables and related transport solutions for the new logistics centre. Witron present the strength and the design of the contracted automation solution.
