Net sales* (excluding VAT) for stores in Sweden owned by the Group, increased by 2.7 % for the month of February, of which same-stores decreased by 3.5 %. The calendar effect was -1.5 %. The price effect for February is not yet determined. For January it was -0.6 %. Consolidated net sales totalled SEK 2,474 m (2,598), a decrease by 4.8 % compared with the same period a year ago. Under the period January-February 2005 the increase was 2.0 % for stores in Sweden owned by the Group, of which same-stores decreased by 3.6 %. Consolidated net sales totalled SEK 4,988 m (5,271), a decrease of 5.4 %. Of total sales, the Swedish operations accounted for SEK 4,265 m (4,479) and Spar Finland for SEK 723 m (792). Hemköp’s sales decreased by 2.6 % during the month, of which same-stores decreased by 7.3 %. Accumulated sales decreased by 4.4 %, of which same-stores decreased by 7.4 %. Willys grew its sales by 6.3 % during the month, of which same-stores decreased by 1.6 %. Accumulated sales increased by 6.3 %, of which same-stores decreased by 1.8 %. Willys hemma decreased its sales by 6.6 % during the month, of which same-stores decreased by 12.8 %. Accumulated sales decreased by 7.9 %, of which same-stores decreased by 11.5 %. Spar Finland’s sales decreased by 6.4 % or by 5.6 % in local currency during the month. Accumulated sales decreased by 8.7 %, in local currency the sales decreased by 7.9 % compared with the same period a year ago. For stores owned by the Group the decrease in local currency was 4.2 %, of which same-stores decreased by 10.0 %. For stores owned by the Group accumulated sales in local currency decreased by 2.3 % of which same-stores decreased by 9.5 %.
