Axfood's sales January-May 2002

Consolidated net sales (excluding VAT) for the month of May totalled SEK 2,869 m (2,781), an increase of 3.2% compared with the same period a year ago. For stores owned by the Group, the increase was 8.9%

Net sales for the period January-May 2002 totalled SEK 13,504 m
(12,977), an increase of 4.1%. For stores owned by the Group, the
increase was 12.0% in Sweden, of which same stores accounted for 4.4%.
Of total sales, the Swedish operations accounted for SEK 11,250 m
(10,727) and Spar Finland for SEK 2,254 m (2,250).

Hemköp´s sales fell by 1.8%. The decrease for same stores was 2.4%.
Willys grew its sales by 27.9%, of which same stores accounted for 10.2
percentage points.
Willys Hemma grew its sales by 2.4%. The decrease for same stores was
7.0%.
Spar Finland grew its sales by 0.2% and in local currency a decrease by
1.3%. For comparable stores owned by the Group the decrease was 1.2%.
