Net sales* (excluding VAT) for stores in Sweden owned by the Group increased by 2.8% for the month of July, with no change in like-for-like sales. Consolidated net sales totalled SEK 2, 394 m (2, 335), an increase of 2.5% compared with the same period a year ago.

Sales for the period January-July 2006 rose 5.7%, with a 1.0% rise in like-for-like sales. Consolidated net sales totalled SEK 16,592 m (16,025), an increase of 3.5%. Hemköp’s sales decreased by 8.3% during the month, with a 1.1% decrease in like-for-like sales. Accumulated sales decreased by 4.9%, with a 0.1% increase in like-for-like sales. Willys’ sales increased by 9.3% during the month, with a 0.7% rise in like-for-like sales. Accumulated sales increased by 11.9%, with a 1.5% rise in like-for-like sales. Willys hemma’s sales decreased by 10.0% during the month, with a 5.5% decrease in like-for-like sales. Accumulated sales decreased by 4.4%, with a 4.0% decrease in like-for-like sales.
