Axfood’s sales June 2005

Net sales* (excluding VAT) for stores in Sweden owned by the Group, increased by 4.4% for the month of June, of which same-stores decreased by 2.7%. Consolidated net sales totalled SEK 2,866 m (2,976), a decrease by 3,7% compared with the same period a year ago. Under the period January-June 2005 the increase was 3.3% for stores in Sweden owned by the Group, of which same-stores decreased by 3.0%. Consolidated net sales totalled SEK 16,108 m (16,846), a decrease of 4.4%. Of total sales, the Swedish operations accounted for SEK 13,691 m (14,264) and Spar Finland for SEK 2,417 m (2,582). Hemköp’s sales increased by 2,6% during the month, of which same-stores decreased by 4,5%. Accumulated sales decreased by 0,5%, of which same-stores decreased by 6.1%. Willys sales increased by 5,9% during the month, of which same-stores decreased by 1.4%. Accumulated sales increased by 5.9%, of which same-stores decreased by 1,4%. Willys hemma decreased its sales by 4,6% during the month, of which same-stores decreased by 11,0%. Accumulated sales decreased by 5.0%, of which same-stores decreased by 11.5%. Spar Finland’s sales decreased by 3,9% or by 5,0% in local currency during the month. Accumulated sales decreased by 6.4%, in local currency the sales decreased by 6.1% compared with the same period a year ago. For stores owned by the Group the decrease in local currency was 0.1%, of which same-stores decreased by 6.8%. For stores owned by the Group accumulated sales in local currency decreased by 0.6% of which same-stores decreased by 8.1%. * The figures are preliminary, definite figures will currently be presented at www.axfood.se under Financial info.
