Axfood’s sales June 2008

Consolidated net sales (excluding VAT) totalled SEK 2,714 m (2,500), a rise of 8.6% compared with the same period a year ago. Net sales for stores in Sweden owned by the Group rose by 10.1% for the month of June, with a 5.1% rise in like-for-like sales.

Sales for the period January-June 2008 in wholly owned stores rose by 9.4%, with a 5.3% rise in like-for-like sales. Consolidated net sales totalled SEK 15,585 m (14,335), an increase of 8.7%. Net sales for Axfood's stores (wholly owned and franchise units) rose by 9.1%, with a 5.1% rise in like-for-like sales.

Hemköp’s sales (wholly owned and franchise units) increased by 2.4 % during the month, with a 0.9% decrease in like-for-like sales. Accumulated sales increased by 3.7%, with a 0.5% rise in like-for-like sales.

Net sales for Hemköp's wholly owned stores decreased by 1.5% during the month, with a 4.0% decrease in like-for-like sales. Accumulated sales increased by 1.1%, with a 1.8% decrease in like-for-like sales.

Willys’ sales rose by 10.0% during the month, with a 8.1% rise in like-for-like sales. Accumulated sales rose by 8.5% with a 7.7% rise in like-for-like sales.

PrisXtra’s net sales* totalled SEK 55 m (58), a decrease of 5.2%. Like-for-like sales decreased by 6.8%. Accumulated sales increased by 1.1%.
