Axfood’s sales March 2006

Net sales (excluding VAT) for stores in Sweden owned by the Group, increased by 5.6% for the month of March, of which like-for-like sales where unchanged. Consolidated net sales totalled SEK 2,459 m (2,385), an increase of 3.1% compared with the same period a year ago. Under the period January-March 2006 the increase was 5.5%, of which like-for-like sales decreased by 0.6%. Consolidated net sales totalled SEK 6,820 m (6,651), an increase of 2.5%. Axfood’s stores (including Hemköp’s franchise) increased by 7.4% for the month of March, of which like-for-like sales increased by 0,7%. Accumulated sales increased by 6.8%, of which like-for-like sales increased by 0.1%. Hemköp’s sales decreased by 5.0% during the month, of which like-for-like sales increased by 0.4%. Accumulated sales decreased by 3.1%, of which like-for-like sales decreased by 0.5%. Hemköp’s stores (including franchise) increased by 2.5% during the month. Accumulated sales increased by 2.8%. Willys sales increased by 11.9% during the month, of which like-for-like sales decreased by 0.5%. Accumulated sales increased by 10.5%, of which like-for-like sales decreased by 0.6%. Willys hemma’s sales decreased by 1.8%, of which like-for-like sales decreased by 0.8% during the month. Accumulated sales increased by 0.6%, of which like-for-like sales decreased by 2.7%.
