Net sales* (excluding VAT) for stores in Sweden owned by the Group increased by 5.4% for the month of May, with a 1.9% rise in like-for-like sales. Consolidated net sales totalled SEK 2,475 m (2,366), an increase of 4.6% compared with the same period a year ago. Sales for the period January-May 2006 rose 6.2%, with a 0.7% rise in like-for-like sales. Consolidated net sales totalled SEK 11,655 m (11,266), an increase of 3.5%. Hemköp’s sales decreased by 5.1% during the month, with a 0.4% rise in like-for-like sales. Accumulated sales decreased by 4.1%, with a 0.1% decrease in like-for-like sales. Willys’ sales increased by 11.8% during the month, with a 2.8% rise in like-for-like sales. Accumulated sales increased by 12.3%, with a 1.2% rise in like-for-like sales. Willys hemma’s sales decreased by 7.2%, with a 4.3% decresase in like-for-like sales. Accumulated sales decreased by 2.8%, with a 3.8% decrease in like-for-like sales.
