Axfood’s sales rises by 1.5 percent in October

Consolidated net sales totalled SEK 2,393 m (2,357), an increase of 1.5% compared with the same period a year ago. Net sales (excluding VAT) for stores in Sweden owned by the Group increased by 0.8% for the month of October, with a 0.3% decrease in like-for-like sales.

Sales for the period January-October 2006 rose 4.5% in wholly owned stores, with a 0.8% rise in like-for-like sales. Consolidated net sales totalled SEK 23,814 m (23,138), an increase of 2.9%. Net sales for Axfood's stores (wholly owned and franchise units) rose 5.9%, with a 1.3% rise in like-for-like sales.

Hemköp’s sales decreased by 8.0% during the month, like-for-like sales decreased by 1.5%. Accumulated sales decreased by 5.6%, with a 0.1% increase in like-for-like sales.

Net sales for Hemköp's stores (wholly owned and franchise units) decreased 4.2% during the month, with a 0.9% decrease in like-for-like sales. Accumulated sales rose 1.2%, with a 1.5% rise in like-for-like sales.

Willys’ sales increased by 5.3% during the month, with no change in like-for-like sales. Accumulated sales increased by 10.3%, with a 1.3% rise in like-for-like sales.

Willys hemma’s sales decreased by 4.1% during the month, with a 1.3% decrease in like-for-like sales. Accumulated sales decreased by 4.4%, with a 3.3% decrease in like-for-like sales.
