Axfood’s sales rises by 1.9 percent in September

Net sales (excluding VAT) for stores in Sweden owned by the Group increased by 1.9% for the month of September, with a 1.6% rise in like-for-like sales. Consolidated net sales totalled SEK 2,340 m (2,333), an increase of 0.3% compared with the same period a year ago.

Sales for the period January-September 2006 rose 4.9%, with a 1.0% rise in like-for-like sales. Consolidated net sales totalled SEK 21,424 m (20,781), an increase of 3.1%. Net sales for Axfood's stores (wholly owned and franchise units) rose 6.4%, with a 1.5% rise in like-for-like sales.

Hemköp’s sales decreased by 7.9% during the month, like-for-like sales where unchanged compared with a year ago. Accumulated sales decreased by 5.4%, with a 0.2% increase in like-for-like sales.
Net sales for Hemköp's stores (wholly owned and franchise units) decreased 2.3% during the month, with a 1.1% rise in like-for-like sales. Accumulated sales rose 1.7%, with a 1.7% rise in like-for-like sales.

Willys’ sales increased by 7.3% during the month, with a 2.3% rise in like-for-like sales. Accumulated sales increased by 10.9%, with a 1.4% rise in like-for-like sales.

Willys hemma’s sales decreased by 5.5% during the month, with a 2.2% decrease in like-for-like sales. Accumulated sales decreased by 4.4%, with a 3.5% decrease in like-for-like sales.
