Interim Report, Axfood AB (publ.) 1 January –30 September 2006

Axfood's consolidated sales amounted to SEK 21,424 m (20,781) during the first nine months of 2006, an increase of 3.1%.

Retail sales for Axfood's wholly owned stores rose 4.9% during the period. Like-for-like sales rose 1.0%.

Operating profit for the period January–September was SEK 938 m (825). Operating profit included compensation of SEK 89 m from the settlement with Vi.

Profit after financial items for the period was SEK 922 m (814).

Profit after tax for the period was SEK 664 m (579). Earnings per share were SEK 12.43 (10.63).
