Per Uebel new President of Hemköp

Per Uebel has been named as the new President of Hemköp. Uebel has a long record of experience in senior positions with Ica, Hennes & Mauritz and Lindex, among other companies. He succeeds Carl-Erik Möller, who has served as Hemköp's President since 2003, and will begin his new position on 27 March.

"Carl-Erik Möller has led an ambitious process of change at Hemköp, which is now being completed with the addition and conversion of some 90 Spar stores to the Hemköp chain," comments Anders Strålman, President and CEO of Axfood AB. "Hemköp is now moving into a new phase, where the focus on the customer offering will be sharpened further. In this respect, Per Uebel has excellent experience from other retail chains that he can apply to Hemköp." Per Uebel has a long list of experience from the consumer durables and retail food industries, including both national and international assignments for Hennes & Mauritz and Lindex. In addition, he has served as president of Ica Sverige AB. "I will work energetically and enthusiastically on the continued pursuit of Hemköp's development toward a modern retail chain that instils food inspiration and culinary delight," says Uebel.
