Susanna Wadegård new Head of Sustainability at Axfood
Susanna Wadegård has been appointed as Axfood’s new Head of Sustainability and will lead the Group’s continued work on sustainable development. Susanna most recently served as Head of Quality and Sustainability at Dagab, Axfood’s purchasing and logistics company, and has worked within the Group for nearly 20 years.
Susanna Wadegård will assume the role as Head of Sustainability at Axfood on 1 October. Susanna is currently Head of Dagab’s Quality and Sustainability Department with responsibility for sustainability and quality assurance across the entire production chain, which covers everything from food safety and sensory analysis to animal welfare and human rights. She has previously held several roles in quality assurance and holds a degree in Agricultural Science with a focus on food science from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.

Susanna Wadegård will assume the role as Head of Sustainability at Axfood on 1 October 2026, succeeding Åsa Domeij, who is leaving after 18 years in the role to pursue other commitments outside the Group.
