Axis Communications has signed an agreement with French bank group Caisse d'Épargne for the delivery of AXIS 2100 Network Cameras. Initially, Axis' network cameras will be installed in 70 of the group's bank offices. The order is valued at approx. 70 000 Euro.

When Caisse d'Épargne realized that its analog CCTV system was too costly and insecure, and had limited technical possibilities, a decision was taken to invest in a new solution. The AXIS 2100 Network Camera was selected, thanks to its ability to meet the banks high requirements regarding cost efficiency, security, reliability and quality. According to the bank's calculations, the cost of purchasing and installing this new digital solution is 3.5 to 4.9 times lower than of choosing an analog surveillance system. The new solution will also simplify the administration and increase the level of security for the bank and it's employees. When deploying the cameras, the bank will use its existing network infrastructure, thus shortening implementation time and lowering the initial costs. The deal is of strategic importance to Axis as it demonstrates the company's ability to deliver surveillance solutions satisfying the highly demanding requirements of the banking sector. Caisse d'Épargne is France's third largest banking group, consisting of 34 local banks with more than 26 million clients. The first office opened in 1818 and today Caisse d'Épargne has approx. 44 000 employees.
