Axis and Fibrenetix in strategic partnership

Axis Communications and Fibrenetix, a Pan-European storage manufacturer, have signed a strategic business agreement. Fibrenetix manufactures a diverse range of storage products and distributes to a wide range of storage distributors and Value Added Resellers across Europe, Asia and the US. As a result of this business, the AXIS StorPoint NAS (Network Attached Storage) 100 server is now part of a complete product offering that is being made available on key European markets such as the UK, Germany, Benelux and Spain. "The AXIS StorPoint NAS 100 is a highly flexible 'building block' for Storage OEM's and Integrators and is ideally suited for applications such as file sharing, project storage and backup to low cost disk," said Dominic Bruning, Marketing Manager at Axis. "We are pleased to announce the OEM partnership with a well reputed manufacturer as Fibrenetix. Their storage know-how and distribution structure within Europe allows Axis to reach the market, with a complete supported NAS product offering, at the right price point." The first Fibrenetix product to result from the partnership with Axis is the fault-tolerant NAS device, Fibrenetix X-RAY NAS80, which is aimed at entry-level and workgroup market segments. It will be launched at Comdex, in Las Vegas, November 13-17.
