Axis and Honeywell to deliver security solution to New Zealand penitentiary
Axis Communications announced today that it has signed an agreement with Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions to deliver video servers for Honeywell's security installation at a penitentiary in New Zealand. The contract is worth about 1 million SEK.
Together, the two companies have already delivered security and surveillance solutions to a number of customers around the world. The Honeywell Digital Video ManagerÔ (DVM) system and AXIS 2401 Video Servers to be delivered to the penitentiary are part of Honeywell's integrated security concept. It serves to address the needs of customers with high demands on flexibility and integration with other security functions. "The combination of our integrated security concept, together with Axis' broad experience in network-based security, have resulted in a flexible and powerful offering," says John Rajchert, General Manager, Advanced Solutions Honeywell Pacific. "The New Zealand installation is our second contract with Axis in the Pacific region in only a few months and we're very happy that the relationship with Axis continues to be a fruitful one." Honeywell joined Axis' Application Development Partner (ADP) program in 2001 and offers a broad range of security, surveillance and control solutions based on Axis' network video technology.
