Axis and Panasonic jointly launch new multi-product

In collaboration with Panasonic, Axis Communications has developed a combined print- and document server, which will be launched jointly with Panasonic during the first quarter of 2002. This allows Panasonic's photocopiers to be connected to networks, making it possible to both print and distribute documents electronically. The solution has been developed within the framework of the strategic collaboration between the two companies.

The new product, the AXIS 7100, is unique in its class and combines a traditional print server with a document server. When a photocopier in Panasonic's WORKiO series is connected to an AXIS 7100, it can also function as a printer and as a mean of distributing documents electronically. The Axis solution also supports RightFax, which enables fax distribution of electronic documents. Technical solutions from Axis allow Panasonic to offer its customers a highly useful product, facilitating everyday office work. "We look upon Axis as our strategic partner for network solutions.
