Axis Communications introduces the AXIS Camera Station, a complete IP-based software solution for video recording, monitoring and event management for Axis network cameras and video servers. With this introduction, Axis extends its total customer offering and opens up for increased market share.

The new AXIS Camera Station is an IP-surveillance software application, providing flexible monitoring and video recording functionality for Axis network video customers. With the AXIS Camera Station, Axis answers to the increasing demands for complete video surveillance and remote monitoring solutions that combine software applications with network video equipment such as cameras and video servers. Installed on a Windows PC, the AXIS Camera Station offers flexible video monitoring and surveillance functionality. Users can record continuously, on alarm or when motion is detected, and have instant playback of recorded images. With motion activity level-based search functionality, users can quickly and easily find important recorded events. Together with Axis network cameras and video servers, the flexible surveillance and remote monitoring software is ideal for maintaining a good visual track of any location. The AXIS Camera Station, together with applications developed by Axis' Application Development Partners (ADPs), forms a strong offering for resellers, and enables end-users to choose from a broad variety of applications. The development of the AXIS Camera Station will also add value to Axis' ADP partners in the form of added components based on the new software. Axis' ADP program today includes more than 150 companies. The AXIS Camera Station will be available through Axis' distribution channels in Q2, 2004.
