Axis introduces market's most advanced network camera based on MPEG-2

Axis Communications today launched the market's most advanced network camera for demanding security and surveillance applications. Packed with a host of features, the AXIS 230 MPEG-2 Network Camera delivers 30/25 frames per second of DVD-quality video and synchronized audio over IP networks. In addition, the AXIS 230 is an infrared-sensitive camera that is able to provide color video during daytime, and black and white video during nighttime, making the camera ideal for installations that require round-the-clock, high quality video and audio.

As the most advanced solution for live, remote monitoring over an IP network, the AXIS 230 is perfect for demanding applications such as traffic monitoring and airport surveillance. Other target groups that can benefit from the combination of full frame rate and DVD-quality video and audio include casinos as well as organizations working with LAN-based education, such as hospitals.
