Axis names Ray Mauritsson as new CEO

Axis' Board of Directors has today appointed Ray Mauritsson as new CEO of Axis. He will take office on February 24.

Ray Mauritsson, 40, has been with Axis since 1995. Over the years he has held a number of executive positions within the company and he is currently responsible for Axis' global OEM and technology sales. Ray Mauritsson holds an MSc in Engineering Physics from Lund Institute of Technology, and an Executive MBA from EFL, Lund, Sweden. The Board of Directors has also appointed Jörgen Lindqvist, CFO, and Anders Laurin, responsible for Axis' global products and solutions sales, as Executive Vice Presidents of the company. "We have found the ideal management team to increase our efforts in successfully implementing our strategies with a clear focus on the growing Video segment," said Mikael Karlsson, Axis' Chairman of the Board. "Ray has the market-oriented approach that, combined with a deep technological understanding and international experience, is necessary to lead a global company like Axis forward." "It is very inspiring for me to take over the lead from Peter Ragnarsson," said Ray Mauritsson, new CEO of Axis. "Today Axis is a solid and profitable company. My main goal is to ensure that we continue a positive progress in line with our existing growth strategies."
