Axis Communications has signed an agreement with Legrand in France for the delivery of AXIS 2100 and 2110 Network Cameras. The cameras are to be installed in buildings across France as part of Legrand's OMIZZY offering, an initiative that allows homeowners to remotely control and monitor everything in their houses, from lights, heating and doors, to alarms. The initial order for Axis is valued at approximately 100 000 Euros.

Adding value through projects like OMIZZY, which improves home security and provides remote control of lighting, heating and entrance access, is becoming increasingly important in any building project. Legrand is a global specialist in systems for electrical installations and information networks, with annual sales of about 3 billion euros, subsidiaries in close to 60 countries, 27,000 employees and distribution in 160 countries. The OMIZZY initiative, which includes network cameras from Axis, will first be tried in Legrand's home market, France. If the project meets expectations, it will be launched in other key markets and could potentially mean a significant business opportunity for Axis. Bernard Bastide, OMIZZY Marketing Manager at Legrand: "Modern buildings require ever greater flexibility. Occupants should be able to remotely control their home environment for increased comfort, security and freedom. OMIZZY, is an initiative that shows we are at the forefront of technology when it comes to electrical installations that add value. Axis' products meet our high standards for quality solutions that are easy to install and easy to use."
