Axis reaches SEK 10 billion in sales
Axis Communications shows continued growth. In 2018, sales amounted to SEK 10.3 billion, while the number of employees during the year increased by 388 to a total of 3,253 in the Group.
“2018 presented many challenges, such as global component shortage, trade restrictions and increased competition. Despite this, we beat our previous sales records both for the last quarter and for the full year. On average, we also had an increase of more than one employee per day in 2018. We expect increased recruitment rates in 2019, as we are also looking forward to moving into our newly built headquarters in Lund,” says Axis CEO Ray Mauritsson.
The year was largely characterized by development and innovation, which meant launching many new products and solutions that formed the basis for Axis growth. To further strengthen the company's development operations, Axis opened a new office in Linköping during the year. In the new office, software development will be in focus. The plan is to have around hundred employees in the Linköping office in a couple of years' time.
Sales for the full year 2018 amounted to SEK 10.3 billion, and for the fourth quarter of 2018 to SEK 2.9 billion. Growth in 2018 amounted to 19 percent.
Axis AB was delisted from Nasdaq Stockholm in November 2018 and as a consequence the company no longer publishes formal quarterly reports.
