New Niranlada Service: Fat Grafting with LipokitTM
Fat Grafting with LipokitTM is a state of the art procedure now available at Chiva-Som, in which the body’s own fat cells are extracted and then re-injected as filler material in other areas of the body. The LipokitTM procedure was developed in Japan and is designed to enhance specific areas without introducing foreign substances into the body. The outcome is a more natural appearance, more cost effective than synthetic fibres and longer lasting than hyaluronic fillers.
Clinical Professor Dr.Niwat Polnikorn, the Medical Director of Niranlada Medi-Spa at Chiva-Som, says that Fat Grating with LipokitTM is the most cutting edge technology to help firm and enhance various parts of the body. LipokitTM is an advanced procedure of liposuction and fat separation by centrifuge, which results in an extract of rich progenitor cells*. The progenitor cell extract is then re-injected into desired areas of the body. For example, excess body fat may be removed from the abdomen, hip, thighs or buttocks, then processed and used to treat conditions, such as facial fat atrophy, asymmetry, deep nasolabial folds, tear trough deformity and mid- face ptosis. It is also effective for hand rejuvenation, breast augmentation, buttock augmentation, lip augmentation or atrophic scars.
The treatment requires a local anaesthetic and takes about two hours or more depending on the area of liposuction and injection. Downtime is about two to three days and full recovery time varies from two to four weeks depending on the area of treatment, and a compression or support garment will need to be worn for at least one month following treatment.
*Progenitor cells are those which can transform and multiply into mature fat tissue.
