Basware and Department for Work and Pensions Shortlisted for CIPS Supply Management Awards Europe: ‘Most Innovative Use of Technology’

Basware’s expertise has been recognised for its work with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) in developing a nationally-scalable and innovative Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to support a light-touch procurement regime that helps unemployed people get back to work faster.
Since the DPS went live in October 2016, over 1300 accredited suppliers have been added to the contract, 75% of which are SMEs. 22,954 training places have been purchased by Jobcentre Plus, helping claimants move into employment. The system has also enabled DWP to make significant efficiency savings.
Recognised as a benchmark for excellence, a CIPS Supply Management Award is the most prestigious recognition an organisation or individual in the procurement and supply chain profession can receive.
