to Fortum
Basware has signed an extensive agreement on the delivery of Purchase-to-Pay
(P2P) services to Fortum. Fortum has already been using several Basware services
for invoice, purchase management and travel expense report automation, and the
new agreement will expand the cooperation even further. The agreement includes
purchase and contract lifecycle management, order matching, catalog management,

of three-year agreement exceeds EUR 300,000 and it includes both licenses and
services. Basware solutions and services will be deployed at the first stage in
the Distribution business area in Finland and Sweden.
"We are delighted to be able to expand our cooperation with Fortum. With the new
agreement, Basware will allow Fortum to adopt an electronic and fully automated
Purchase-to-Pay process. This will streamline the customer's purchase and
financial administration processes and increase cost efficiency. The practical
benefits achieved by the customer include easier control of purchases and
processing of invoices and messages, while related procedures will become
increasingly automated, both internally and between companies," says Esa Tihilä,
CEO, Basware Corporation "The agreement also proves Basware's extremely strong
position as a supplier of Purchase-to-Pay solutions in Finland and other Nordic
countries."
