Rotterdam, Netherlands – 13 February 2025 – StocExpo, the world’s leading tank storage and energy infrastructure event, is delighted to announce that Nicolas Hamilton, British Touring Car driver and motivational speaker, will be the guest keynote speaker at its 20th-anniversary edition on March 12, 2025 in Rotterdam.

Hamilton’s extraordinary journey – from overcoming cerebral palsy to competing in one of the world’s most demanding motorsport championships – has inspired countless individuals across industries. His resilience, determination, and refusal to accept limitations mirror the challenges faced by the tank storage industry as it navigates a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

A Story of Perseverance and Innovation

Born with cerebral palsy and told he would never walk unaided, Hamilton defied the odds through sheer determination and personal grit. Training himself to walk by the age of 17 and later earning his place in professional motorsport, his story embodies overcoming adversity, breaking barriers, and pushing beyond expectations – a message that resonates deeply with industry professionals managing transformation in the energy sector.

“At the end of the day, my goal is to inspire just one person in the room – to be a better version of themselves, to push forward despite challenges, and to take control of their own path,” said Hamilton. “StocExpo is all about innovation and resilience, and I look forward to sharing my journey with an industry that is constantly adapting and striving for progress.”

A Special Keynote for StocExpo’s 20th Anniversary

StocExpo’s 20th edition promises to be a landmark event for the global tank storage sector, bringing together leading voices in future fuels, emissions reduction, robotics, and digitalization. Hamilton’s keynote session will serve as a powerful reminder that determination and adaptability are key to success – whether on the racetrack or in the energy transition.

Margaret Dunn, StocExpo’s portfolio director, commented: “As we celebrate 20 years of StocExpo, we wanted a speaker who truly embodies the spirit of resilience, ambition, and transformation. Nicolas Hamilton’s story is one of perseverance against the odds, which is something our industry can relate to as it continues to adapt to new technologies and challenges. We are honoured to have him join us for this milestone edition.”
