Roger Johansson new President and CEO of BE Group

BE Group AB’s Board of Directors has appointed Roger Johansson as the new President and CEO.

Having been a member of the Board of BE Group AB since 2009, he now joins BE Group full-time from Trelleborg AB where he has held the position of Business Area President, Trelleborg Automotive. Roger Johansson brings extensive experience of the engineering industry, having previously been employed as Vice President of General Motors Powertrain Europe and General Motors Purchasing Europe, among other positions. 

“We are very pleased to present Roger Johansson as the new President and CEO of BE Group,” says Carl-Erik Ridderstråle, Chairman of the Board. “His considerable experience in the engineering industry will be of great value to the company. He is also already very familiar with our business.” 

Roger Johansson was born in 1965 and holds a Master of business and economic science from the School of Business, Economics and Law at Gothenburg University. 

“During my time as a Board member of BE Group I have developed a strong commitment and interest in the company. When asked to consider becoming CEO, I immediately felt compelled to accept, being enticed by the challenges and opportunities the company faces,” says Roger Johansson. 

Roger Johansson will assume the position of President and CEO from the start of 2011.
