Believe In Tomorrow Children’s Foundation

For families enveloped by the emotional, physical and financial stress a child’s catastrophic illness creates, the opportunity to spend a week together at the beach is a gift unlike any other. For 25 years families have been travelling from as far as Wisconsin, Missouri, Florida, New York, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Texas to the beaches of Maryland and Delaware to embrace a week at one of Believe In Tomorrow’s respite properties. 

Believe In Tomorrow Children’s Foundation is a national leader in hospital and respite housing and is the exclusive provider of pediatric hospital housing for the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.  Believe In Tomorrow has five destination driven respite properties, families with critically ill children can utilize free of charge, to escape their normal routine and create a new one every day at the mountains or the beach. 

For many families this week together becomes more precious as time passes.  As one family, so eloquently states “Because of the respite program and your efforts, Christopher was able to spend his final days having a wonderful time with his family. Moreover, our family now has more special memories of our dear son and brother that we can carry with us always, and for that in particular, we will always be grateful.” 

Another family adds, “During our stays with you we have fallen in love with not only the Believe In Tomorrow Children’s Foundation, but with Ocean City and the surrounding area as well.  It has become a haven for us to escape to once a year…We can’t put into words how much we have appreciated our time away from the daily stress of all the doctor visits, hospital stays, tests and surgeries.”
