Moving on with the re-launching of the fashion fair in Bella Center
Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) had more than a good start with the first phase of the re-launching during fashion week. With 1,694 brands and 27,650 visitors, it was a good fashion fair in Bella Cen-ter. Gallery, in Forum Copenhagen also felt the optimism bubble with an increase in the number of visitors, in particular visitors from abroad.
Well begun is half done. An old truth that is a perfect fit for the first phase of the re-launching of CIFF in Bella Center. “Our goal is for the fair to be a total experience for exhibitors and buyers. And we have had a really good start to the project,” says Bolette Hvalsøe Olesen, the person responsible for CIFF in Bella Center. Among other things, the re-launching offered two daily trend shows at CIFF and CIFFKIDS; more events, special exhibits and new catering with everything from Sticks ‘n’ Sushi, Kontra Kaffe and COFOCO to Bagel & Co. “And we are most certainly not stopping here. We will continue to concept de-velop CIFF and we are already looking forward to the fair in August,” says Bo-lette Hvalsøe Olesen. This time, the work behind the re-launching of the fashion fair was more visible at the children’s wear fair, CIFFKIDS. Here, the trend show, “Life Inside a Snowflake” attracted full houses and enthusiastic applause twice daily with mu-sic, dance and skating. At Gallery, in Forum, a completely new energy was detected as well. “The mood has simply turned. It has bubbled with optimism all week,” explains Christian Gregersen, founder of Gallery. Gallery had 12,400 visitors – a small advance of a couple of percent compared to February last year. CIFF and CIFFKIDS had 27,650 visitors – 7 percent fewer than February 2009.
