My Fashion Week - the Fashion Fairs in Copenhagen unite in a joint effort to ensure the continued growth of Scandinavian fashion.

Challenging times generate new initiatives as the major trade organisations join forces to boost Copenhagen's status as a fashion metropolis. CPH Vision & Terminal-2 are launching MyFashionWeek, a brand-new web platform, in partnership with CIFF and Gallery. My Fashion Week is a travel-booking site that offers fashion professionals tailor-made travel & accommodation packages to Copenhagen, including free tickets to the fairs. As a result of the close partnership between the three trade fair organisations Copenhagen Fashion Fairs, CIFF and Gallery and with support from Danish Retail Union, MyFashionWeek will be launched as the ultimate service platform for fashion professionals. "We launched this initiative because we need less talk and more action. Instead of waiting for the consequences of the credit crunch, we decided to act upon the current financial challenges and were excited to receive solid support from the other trade organisations when the idea was presented to them. MyFashionWeek will not only benefit the fashion industry, but also the entire city of Copenhagen." (Peter Fenger Selchau - CEO CPH Vision & Terminal-2) "CIFF strongly supports MyFashionWeek. We are pleased to cooperate with CPH Vision, Terminal-2 and Gallery on offering our purchasers and others one overall service portal that delivers a good fashion experience in Copenhagen. We see great potential with the portal - now and in the future as our aim is to advance MyFashionWeek to the benefit of our purchasers." (Bolette Hvalsøe Olesen - Sales& Marketing Manager, CIFF) "Dansk Detail naturally supports MyFashionWeek. We believe that it is super-important for the many buyers from the shops to come to Copenhagen and make use of the many opportunities for inspiration and purchasing so that consumers can experience shops with up-to-the-minute clothing, shoes and accessories. With its competitive package deals, MyFashionWeek helps to make all that possible." (Jens Birkeholm -CEO, Danish Retail) This is the first time an initiative and partnership of this kind have been designed with the visitors to Copenhagen Fashion Week in mind. Created by fashion professionals for fashion professionals, MyFashionWeek aims to improve services for buyers, press and other visitors to Copenhagen Fashion Week and to meet all the requirements of busy travelers. MyFashionWeek aims to cut costs by up to 30-50% and offer the most price-friendly solutions in terms of travel and accommodation. Tailor-made solutions are devised to provide service packages that include flights and hotels at reasonable prices. As a non-profit organisation, MyFashionWeek was created on the basis of demand for a professional and efficient service that is able to offer instant impact and boost the number of fashion professionals visiting Copenhagen. The fashion fairs sponsor free tickets The fair organisers have also agreed to sponsor tickets to the fairs, offering every user that makes a booking through MyFashionWeek free entry to CPH Vision, Terminal-2, CIFF and Gallery. The launch of MyFashionWeek is part of an extensive long-term plan to strengthen the growth of Scandinavian fashion and generate more business for the future success of the fashion fairs and the entire city of Copenhagen. MyFashionWeek is one of many initiatives to follow. www.myfashionweek.dk
