    Clarification

    Yesterday, September 15 at 09.25, a press release was sent from Bergs Timber AB with incorrect content in the swedish version. The press release contained information about an acquisition that was communicated from the company on June 23, 2021. This was removed and replaced at 10.14 with the correct press release intended to be distributed on September 15 informing about investment in increased capacity for the manufacture of windows and doors.     Bergs invests in increased manufacturing capacity for high-quality windows and doors

    To meet strong demand for wooden windows and doors in conjunction with renovations and new production, the Group’s subsidiary Byko-Lat in Latvia will make investments in increasing production capacity.A new 2,400-square meter warehouse and logistics building will be constructed that will enable more efficient flows in the plant area and free up production space, which can then be used more optimally. The total investment of approximately SEK 20 million is expected to increase capacity by 50 per cent for doors and windows, with the building set to be put into use in the first quarter of 2022.

    Bergs Timber has previously announced the closure of Gransjö sawmill. Similarly, production as a result of the ongoing corona crisis has been reduced at other Swedish sawmills and at our Estonian sawmill.     The Board of Directors of Bergs Timber AB has today, as a result of the spread of the corona virus, taken the decision to postpone the annual general meeting to a later date.
