Pop Music’s Newest Star amity Performs a Tribute to Les Paul with the Les Paul Trio on Wednesday, June 6th in Beverly Hills
Debut of New Single, “Me & My Guitar” Performed Live With A Special Rendition of “How High the Moon”
Los Angeles, CA…June 4, 2012….Popular new artist, amity, has announced a very special performance in honor of the late, great Les Paul to take place on Wednesday, June 6th at Julien’s Gallery in Beverly Hills. The artist known as “amity” will perform with the legendary Les Paul Trio and Dave Rollans at an exclusive preview event celebrating the upcoming Estate of Les Paul auction at Julien’s Auctions.
The release of amity’s new EP on iTunes has led to an array of accolades and critical acclaim from music industry executives and insiders. During the performance at 7pm amity will debut her latest single, “Me & My Guitar” which she will dedicate to Les Paul and sing a very special rendition of “How High the Moon.” She will also perform two other original songs, “I Remember It All,” and “The Other Side.” The preview event will be held at 9665 Wilshire Blvd beginning at 6pm. Live performance is at 7pm. The performance is in celebration of the man who defined the electric guitar and multi-track recording. It is a celebration also marking the two-day auction event which will take place June 8 & 9, 2012.
amity is a young, singer/songwriter from Northern California with a smoky voice matched by an array of original songs. At 16, with only three chords under her belt, she began writing her own music and playing her Taylor acoustic guitar. It is her talent for storytelling that has provided the artist remarkable opportunities to share her music with audiences that are literally left spellbound by the voice, the lyrics, and the arrangement. Often described as a “cross between Colbie Calliat and Adele,” amity is quick to acknowledge that her music is a unique blend of her own thoughts, aspirations and musical compositions that she hopes will bring smiles and joy to her many fans worldwide.
