BEWI today provides a business update on the implications of the current market situation related to the European shortage of the raw material styrene. BEWI’s procurement strategy is constructed to safeguard deliveries to customers and to secure a stable supply of raw material. However, the current shortage of styrene, the main raw material for expanded polystyrene (EPS) in Europe, is impacting the prices.

Our vertically integrated and diversified business model is once again proving resilient, and we have secured a stable supply of both virgin and recycled material,” Siljeskär continues.
