BEWiSynbra’s acquisition of insulation facility in Norrköping completed
BEWiSynbra Group, one of the leading integrated producers of expandable polystyrene (EPS) in Europe, has completed its acquisition of an insulation facility in the Swedish city Norrköping. The acquisition supports BEWiSynbra’s strategy to strengthen its position in the Nordic insulation market.
“We are very pleased to finalize the acquisition of the new Norrköping facility, which will be a strategically important center for BEWiSynbra’s Nordic insulation business. With the new facility, we get access to higher volumes of extruded polystyrene (XPS), that enables a more competitive offering of EPS and XPS to our customers. In addition, the facility’s good location enables efficient supply to our Nordic construction customers”, says Michael Nielsen, Head of Insulation Nordic.
On 9 January 2020, BEWiSynbra announced that it had entered into a share purchase agreement to acquire all the shares in a recently established company that owns and operates the Norrköping facility and that one of the shareholders of BEWiSynbra, KMC Family AS, had agreed to acquire the real estate on which the company operates the Norrköping facility. The share transfer has been successfully completed and the real estate transfer is expected to be completed by the end of March.
