Biacore First Quarter Sales Update

Uppsala, Sweden, 11 April 2006. Biacore International AB (SSE:BCOR) announces today that its first quarter sales performance was better than current market expectations. In the first quarter 2006, sales increased by approximately 19% compared to the corresponding period in 2005. Biacore had anticipated a slowdown in its growth in the early part of 2006 following the record sales it achieved in the final quarter of 2005.
