BIBBY DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCES NEW MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENTS

Bibby Distribution has appointed Oliever Hecht, 50, as its new Managing Director.
Hecht brings more than 20 years’ experience in pan-European logistics and supply chain consultancy to his new appointment. Previously he has served as Managing Director of Metro Group Logistics Turkey and Greece, Chairman of Managing Directors for Brink’s Deutschland and joins Bibby following a period as Managing Partner of U-Net Supply Chain Consultancy in Berlin.
Hecht says: “I am delighted to join Bibby Distribution, which has a wealth of opportunities to grow and lead the UK logistics market. The Bibby Line Group has a fantastic international heritage and I will ensure that Bibby Distribution plays its part in maintaining and bolstering the Group’s enviable reputation in business to business services.”
As Managing Director, Hecht will focus on developing Bibby Distribution’s presence in its core vertical sectors, including retail, automotive, high-cube and food and ingredients. He will be based at the company’s headquarters in Duke Street, Liverpool.
Bibby Distribution’s activities will be overseen by Mike Brown, who was appointed to the new role of Group Portfolio Director for Bibby Line Group in September last year. His role incorporates oversight of Bibby Distribution, Bibby International Logistics, Packaging Logistics Services (PLS) and Bibby Employment Services which previously fell under the remit of Bibby Supply Chain Services.
