BIBBY DISTRIBUTION OPENS FLAGSHIP DEPOT TO BOOST BUSINESS GROWTH

Bibby Distribution is to lay down a major marker of long-term business confidence with the opening of a flagship depot in Wakefield in Q1 2016.
The national, family-owned 3PL is to commence operations from a 280,000 sq ft facility located at G Park at Junction 31 on the M62, a move that will significantly grow Bibby Distribution’s service capability and reach. The long-term investment will act as a distribution hub for a variety of national retailers and grocers.
The new depot will provide more than 100 jobs for a variety of warehouse staff and drivers, with more than 90 commercial vehicle assets to operate from Bibby Distribution’s facility. G Park also provides storage for around 39,000 pallets of goods.
Operations are scheduled to begin in Q1 with two major grocery retailers expecting to be the first to benefit from the improved facilities, extra capacity and ease of access the new depot provides, in the heart of the ‘Northern Powerhouse’.
