EXCLUSIVE LADIES-ONLY HEALTH CLUB TO OPEN IN COLCHESTER

An exclusive ladies only health club offering a new way to exercise opens in Colchester on Friday, 11th October.

Livia Club, located in Global House in Colchester, differs from traditional gyms by housing HUR resistance equipment and pioneering SmartCard technology in a luxurious environment.

The HUR resistance equipment creates a circuit combining strength and endurance training which provides safer, effective exercise for women of all ages and abilities from mainstream exercisers to seniors.

The HUR equipment works with the SmartCard technology to manage training programmes and provide feedback, with in-built automatic programme updating, ensuring that members stay motivated and keep track of their progress.

There are already Livia Clubs open in Finland, and co-owners Mats Manderbacka and Norman Smith are looking forward to bringing the concept to the UK.

Norman Smith, who is also Managing Director of HUR UK said: “Mats has developed the Livia Club concept and SmartCard technology from extensive research into the effectiveness of strength and endurance training and members of other Livia Clubs have had fantastic results.”
