Google Diploma for Devon Digital Director

Simon Beer, Digital Director at Exeter-based full service marketing agency, Big Wave Media, has been awarded a digital marketing qualification by internet giants Google.

The new course, called 'Squared Online', is a recent development by Google and Simon was one of only 150 candidates selected for the first intake.

The course is aimed at tomorrow's connected leaders and has been built by the best practitioners. It is delivered collaboratively online to create a new movement in career learning, often featuring high profile guest speakers.

To gain the qualification, Simon spent 6 months collaborating with other 'Squares' and being taught in online classrooms covering topics such as digital trends, data analysis, T-Shaped Principles, digital futures, display and search. He was then invited to the London Google HQ offices for the live graduation ceremony.
