BIMobject® enters into a digital partnership with Riksbyggen
BIMobject AB ("BIMobject") announces that the company has entered into a digital partnership agreement with the Swedish building and property management association Riksbyggen. The aim is to implement BIMobject's solutions within Riksbyggen's processes. For this purpose, a pilot project will be carried out to apply BIMobject's solutions in a real project.
One of the aims of the cooperation is to involve the manufacturers' digital products, so called BIM objects, earlier in the process. This will contribute to better efficiency and cost control during the project, as well as to a simplified managing of changes and risks.
Another purpose of the cooperation is to utilise digital tools to make Riksbyggen's processes more efficient through leaner construction, delivery and maintenance. This will also increase the ability to improve sustainability efforts in terms of material selection, product choices and logistics throughout the entire value chain.
During the construction process, the involved parties will be working in a BIM model, which is a digital 3D-version of the actual building. The model also takes variables such as time plans and cost calculations into account.
The pilot project will use the latest cloud technology from BIMobject, the Digital Construction Content Management solution Hercules. The solution lets Riksbyggen create their own product and material catalogues of building products from the BIMobject® Cloud.
Virtual Reality (VR) will be used as well as the BIMobject solution BIMsupply® to enable all stakeholders to see the same thing at the same time. Increasing communication and know-how between all parties of a construction project has been proven to have a positive effect on costs and environmental footprint.

No significant revenue or costs will arise for BIMobject in the initial phase of this agreement. The potential future value of the partnership cannot be estimated at present. The agreement is valid until August 2019 with the possibility of extension.
