THE RESULT OF BIOHIT WEAKER THAN ANTICIPATED

The result of Biohit Group for the whole financial year is
expected to be weaker than anticipated. In 1Q-3Q/2006 the Group
had net sales of EUR 22.7 million, that is, an increase of 12 % as
compared with the corresponding period in 2005. The company
expected however the growth in net sales in 2006 to be higher.
Growth in net sales in the Asian market and the diagnostics
business, in particular, has been weaker than anticipated.

The sales development being weaker than expected affects the
result of the whole Group. The result is also burdened by
increased fixed costs, which mainly stem from outlays associated
with operations in China and costs related to the restructuring of
the organisation in Japan. At this stage, the outlook is that the
investments made in the Asian market will not yield results until
next year.

The company estimates the growth in Group net sales to continue in
the same way in 2006. However, the loss is expected to be higher
than in 2005.
