Biomedical Bonding has received a granted patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The invention relates to a primer composition that may be applied to tissue to increase bond strength between the tissue and a patch, filler, or a supporting material. The primer comprises a dithiol component and an allyl containing component together with a photo initiator. The primer is an important part of BMB’s Bonevolent™ technology that allows surgeons to do on-site customizable bone fracture fixations.
